Every two years hundreds of people come to this Southwestern Michigan quilt show to see local talent at its best. There are things to see and learn for everyone, with hundreds of quilts ranging in size and purpose from very small art quilts to large ones intended for everyday bed-spread use, and even “Quilts of Valor” made for today’s injured service men and women

Trunk Shows by Beth Ferrier of Applewood Farm Publications on Saturday June 26th at
11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each trunk show will be different.

Mini-quilt silent auction:
The silent action will be to benefit Quilts of Valor. The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover all those servicemembers and veterans touched by war with Wartime Quilts called Quilts of Valor. Mini-quilts for the auction should be no larger than 20” x 20”.

To enter your quilts: print out the following registration form, or use the one from your March newsletter. Fill out the form, and attach a picture of your quilt to turn in by the April guild meeting. REGISTRATION FORM.pdf
The 2010 Quilt Show Challenge is Folded Fabric (The manipulation of fabric to give a dimensional effect by folding.) Size: UP TO 30x30 finished size. It may be smaller. Any other shape of quilt is acceptable as long as it fits into a 30x30 inch square. The quilt must have at least one example of folded fabric. Describe on the registration form why your piece fits into the challenge category. Embellishments welcome! Examples: including, but not limited to; prairie points, yo-yos, folded flowers, ruching, a folded border (piping without the cord), tucks, pleats, cathedral windows. No, the pressing of seams and binding do not count. You may call Kim with questions, but she promises to answer them vaguely; this is your interpretation of the challenge.
